Love You Rachchu
, releasing this weekend, marks the debut of
Shankar S Raj in Sandalwood. The romantic movie, which sees
Ajai Rao and
Rachita Ram sharing screen space for the first time, is one of the most anticipated year-end releases in the Kannada film industry.
An excited Shankar says, “I have been in the industry for over 13 years. At a young age, I worked as an assistant director to
Kodlu Ramakrishna for three years. I then got associated with
Guru Deshpande who nurtured the talent in me before giving me the opportunity to work as an independent director for Love You Rachchu. With names like
Ajai
Rao and Rachita Ram in my debut movie itself, I couldn’t have asked for more.”
Regarding the movie, Shankar adds, “It is a romantic movie which traces the journey of a newly married couple. An untoward incident changes the course of their life and becomes a litmus test for their relationship. Ajai is considered a romantic boy and this movie will see him in an updated version, as a man ready to take on challenges for his wife. The sizzling chemistry between Ajai and Rachita will be a treat for audiences and the thriller element in the movie will keep everyone on the edge of the seat.”
