When the song-recording muhurut for the R Chandru directorial Brahma was held at Gurukiran Studio, the film’s lead actor Upendra was not present for the occasion. However, when the actual muhurut for the shoot took place on Thursday, he showed up dressed as a king with the Suryavamsha emblem on his forehead. Upendra – who is the writer of path-breaking films like Om, A, Upendra, H2O, Operation Antha and Super – now has high expectations to live up to, especially with a film titled Brahma.
The film will span four generations, from the 16th to the 21st centuries.
The cast and crew will shoot in Bangalore for three days, and then move to Lalit Mahal Palace in Mysore for 10 days. Later, a 25-day shoot will be held in Bangkok.
Despite the fact that Upendra is a director in his own right, he maintains that will not give Chandru any directorial inputs in this film. The actor commended Chandru on the attention he has paid to detail for Brahma. He also said that the film will be 20% historical, and the rest will be set in modern times.
