The script of Elumale excited me, says filmmaker Tharun

Tharun Kishore Sudhir, known for directing Kannada movies like Chowka, Roberrt, and Kaatera, returns as a producer with Elumale — a Kannada thriller-love story directed by Punit Rangaswamy, produced by Tharun Sudhir Kreatiiivez and De Arte Studios and coproduced by Atlanta Nagendra. Tharun, who is producing for the second time after Guru Shishyaru, says he’s very selective about the projects he backs. “Since I’m mostly busy directing, I only get into production when a script truly excites me.
When Punit came to me with Elumale, I was drawn to the script — a real incident entwined with a love story — and was sure it would click with audiences.” Atlanta Nagendra, the film’s co-producer, shares, “When I want to produce a film, I view it as the audience first. This is a love story blended with suspense and the topic, while it may exist in other languages, is new for Kannada cinema.” He adds that they’ve avoided making it a forced pan-India release. “Instead, we’re releasing it in Tamil and Telugu next week, because that’s where we feel it truly connects.”
