The film had faced major delays due to Darshan’s legal troubles. Production reportedly came to a halt after his arrest on June 11, 2024, in connection with an alleged murder case. With a significant portion of the shoot left unfinished, the project remained in limbo for months. However, following Darshan’s bail from the Karnataka High Court on December 13, 2024, work on the film has seemingly resumed.
With the teaser generating buzz, fans are eagerly awaiting further updates, including a potential release date. The Devil is expected to mark Darshan’s big-screen comeback, making it one of the most anticipated Kannada films of the year.
On the other hand, Darshan’s previous film was ‘Kaatera,’ which was released in the year 2023 and was directed by Tarun Sudhir and scripted by the director along with the writers Jadesh Kumar Hampi and Maasthi Upaarahalli.
