The offer was presented to him by director Dayal Padmanabhan. He says, "Director Dayal Padmanabhan gave me an opportunity to work with him and assist him with screenplay/dialogues for his movies 'Yogaraj But' (2011) and the yet to be released 'Ondu Rupaayalli Eradu preeti'."
Abhishek has also written lyrics for two songs in the Kannada film "Ondu Rupaayalli Eradu preeti." He looks forward to the road ahead and says, "Planning to continue as a screen writer, lyricist and also a software engineer."
How did it start off? Abhishek wanted to explore his other passions - photography, singng and composing. Interestingly, he has also lent his vocals for a couple of Kannada albums. The response he got for the same is what prompted him to contemplate on having a album of his own.
"I have written the lyrics and composed music for songs in my album Neralaagi." He further says that this is one of the costliest independent albums in Kannada music production (excluding the vocalist, mixing, mastering costs).
There are many like him who had have a latent talent, that isn't easily exploited. However, his case is different. Ask him what inspired him to follow his heart? And hye's quick to credit the industry stalwarts. He says, "I asked a few guys from inside and outside the music field to listen to my work. The reactions/opinions have been extremely encouraging."

Abhishek's been busy with the making of his album for the last couple of months. His music album is all set to be released by the end of June. The singer-lyricist also reveals that singers Sadhana Sargam, Aishwarya Majmudar and Avinash Chebbi too have lent their voices for Neralaagi.Abhishek says, I want to give some good "saahitya" and "Sangeetha" to my fellow Kannadigas through this album."
Let's hope if this budding singer's endeavour can bring about a change in the Kannada musical scene.
