The expectations surrounding the upcoming film '

Thothapuri

' seem quite justified at the moment. With the funny men Vijayaprasad and Jaggesh reuniting for the second time and the likes of Dhananjaya and Aditi Prabhudeva joining them in the new pursuits, fans are keenly looking forward to watching the film on the big screen.

And to keep their curiosities alive right up till the point, the team of 'Thothapuri' is sticking to those very quirks by releasing an audio teaser first. Featuring Jaggesh and Aditi Prabhudeva in their respective characters, the teaser video will be a perfect tone-setter for the film.

"Traditionally, one might find filmmakers bringing out a lyrical song and releasing a video song at a later point, perhaps even after the release of a film. However, we thought that we must do away with the lyrical song and instead release a special audio teaser first and then bring the video song out. The song too, composed by J. Anoop Seelin, is very conversational and informal in its structure and it will introduce the characters of both Jaggesh sir and Aditi Prabhudeva, while also setting the right tone for the audience about the film," shares director Vijayaprasad.

Slated to come out in two parts, 'Thothapuri' marks the second collaboration between Vijayaprasad and Jaggesh following the successful 'Neer Dose' in 2016. The filmmaker teams up with Aditi Prabhudeva, who plays Shakeelabanu in the film, and Dhananjaya (playing Narayan Pillai) for the maiden time while his regular collaborator Suman Ranganathan returns in 'Thothapuri' to play a key role.

"We had plans of releasing the first part towards the end of January but had to change that because of the 50% occupancy rule. However, we are all set to release the film and the moment they bring back 100% occupancy, we will be there with the film within a week or two. The second installment is likely to release after a gap of 6-8 weeks from the first one," adds Vijayaprasad.
