Supritha Sathyanarayan makes her debut in Sandalwood

Television actress Supritha Sathyanarayan is making the transition to the big screen. Supritha, who made her small screen

debut

with the serial Seetha Vallabha, is foraying into Sandalwood with the crime thriller Rahadari, directed by Girish Vairamudi.

An excited Supritha says, “I was getting offers to act in films. But for the first one-and-a-half years, I wanted to concentrate only on serials to pick up the nuances of acting, as I was new to the industry. Now, I feel I need to do something different and that is the reason I signed Rahadari. When director Girish told me about the characters in the movie, I was floored by his narration. The movie is based on a robbery, which has a strong motive. I play a key character, which has two shades. The shoot will begin from December. I am looking forward to work with a creative team.”

Despite the switch to cinema, the actress is keen to continue to act in serials. “I started my journey with Seetha Vallabha. So, there is no question of quitting the television industry. I will balance my work between television and films,” she says.
