from Monday. The Indian model who is well known for her controversial tweets had reportedly told the

Telugu

director Yuvaraj that she was yearning to act in a

Kannada

movie from a long time.

Speaking to Bangalore Mirror, Yuvaraj, who will be making a debut in Sandalwood said, 'For long, I had been waiting to direct a movie in Kannada and my dream is fulfilling now. I was working on a script for the last six months and thought Poonam was the best suited for the lady-oriented story. So, when I approached Poonam, she also expressed her love for Kannada movies. So, after finalising the script, we will begin shooting from Monday.' The director claimed that his movie was not a re-make and a straight Kannada film.

Yuvaraj who has directed a few Telugu movies said the new movie would be a `high voltage' horror-romantic movie and Poonam Pandey will be the main protagonist with no major male leads. He is planning to wrap up the movie in a span of four months. When he was asked as to why was Poonam Pandey roped in and what can we expect from Poonam Pandey?

Yuvaraj shot back, 'You can expect all those from Poonam Pandey what she is known for?' When he was asked are we sure of that, Yuvaraj cut short the reply saying, 'Of course, but everything will be in such a way that it is in the purview of Censor rules and regulations.'
