Bollywood star Suniel Shetty is venturing into Tulu cinema with Jai, directed by and co-starring Roopesh Shetty. The actor begins filming in the coastal region post Sankranti.
Roopesh Shetty says, “Suniel Shetty had long expressed interest in Tulu cinema. When I presented him with the script and character, his attention to detail amazed me — it’s what makes him such a great actor and explains his illustrious career. We’re thrilled to have him on board, and I can’t wait to work with him on set. His role completely transforms the film.”
Roopesh adds, “Jai is a political thriller, centred around a specific issue in a village. Given Suniel’s Mangaluru roots, we want him to provide the voice-over to ensure authenticity.”
