Sudeep talks about working in Baahubali

One of Indian cinema’s most-awaited films, Baahubali, hits theatres today. Although it is a Telugu film, the movie has made people across the country take notice because of the sheer size of its production, and the fact that it is directed by SS Rajamouli. The film also has a strong Kannada connection, the most prominent being Sudeep. “I play the character of Aslaam Khan — a man who makes and supplies the best weapons.A lot of research and work went into creating the look. The team is always well-prepared in that aspect. However, mine is a small role and I am happy to be a part of the movie, especially since I got to work with Rajamouli again after Eega,” says Sudeep.
RS Productions has bagged the distribution rights for the movie in Karnataka, and KP Srikanth of the production house says that he is expecting a fantastic response. “It is an honour to distribute the movie in the state. All of Rajamouli’s films have been blockbusters, so we are confident that this movie will also do extremely well. Single screen theatres in the city have already been booked for three days,” he says.
