Sudeep files a defamation case against film producers

A few days after producer M N Kumar accused Kannada star Sudeep of evading him, for eight years, after taking a remuneration for a film, Sudeep has hit back with a legal notice against producers M N Kumar and M N Suresh.
In the notice, Sudeep has demanded an unconditional apology from the producers within a three-day time frame, along with a fine of`10 crores for making defamatory remarks against him.
What Sudeep’s legal notice says:
“The statements and allegations made by the producers have put Sudeep and his family members to mental agony. It has ruined his image in his professional, personal and social life. He has been deeply disturbed as his moral uprightness, character and conduct became the topic of discussion amongst his viewers and admirers. Few of the producers in the film industry who had offered Sudeep to feature in their movies have communicated their decision to withdraw their offer fearing the damage that would be caused to their movies solely due to defamatory statements and allegations. The mental agony is unimaginable besides being incalculable.”
