A hilarious horror ride is on its way, and this time it’s from the heart of coastal Karnataka. The trailer of ‘Su From So’, a supernatural comedy drama, was unveiled on July 15, and it’s already creating waves for its quirky blend of eerie thrills and village humour.



The film is directed by JP Thuminad and presented by the acclaimed Raj B Shetty under his banner. Slated for release on July 25, the film promises a rollercoaster of scares, laughs, and cultural charm.


A village comes alive—until the devil shows up


Set in the scenic coastal region between Mangaluru and Udupi, Su From So captures the flavour of rural life with a playful lens. JP Thuminad not only directs but also stars in the film, and the trailer is narrated from his character’s point of view. The peaceful village life, full of traditions, food, and familiar banter, suddenly descends into chaos when a ghost named Sulochana from Someshwar—aka “Su from So”—enters the scene.



When horror meets humour


The trailer smartly weaves supernatural elements into its rustic comedy. The storytelling is rich with personality, carried by quirky characters like Ravi, Satish, Chandra, and the narrator Ashoka.
