GET THE HAIRDO RIGHT
Speaking about the hairstyle, Ibbani, says, “I started off with French plaits at the crown of the head, and then wove that into a long, fishtail side braid for the rest of the hair. I used a little hairspray to set it in place, but apart from that, no other products were used. In case people want a little more shine, they can use serum — it will ensure that there are no stray strands.” She adds that this look does not require freshly washed hair. “In fact, it is perfect for a day or two after the wash when the hair is slightly greasy. With this hairdo, the hair ends up looking glossy,” she says.
IDEAL FOR ALL-DAY WEAR
Shanvi had a long day of interviews to attend and wanted a hairdo that would remain in place, yet be suave — that is what made this hairdo ideal. “I really love experimenting and for this particular look, I wanted a hairstyle that was pretty, stylish, something that will stay put through the day, and is easy to manage. I think side braids look great and suit me well,” says Shanvi.
“I braided the hair in the morning and it stayed as it is till the evening,” says Ibbani, adding that the longevity of this hairdo makes it perfect for the festive season too.
PAIR WITH SIMPLE MAKEUP
According to Ibbani, this hairstyle suits every face type; it is in trend right now and works best when paired with simple makeup. “It is an elegant look, therefore, simple makeup works best. Given that Shanvi has great skin, I just used little moisturizer and foundation for the base. I then used the contouring makeup technique, and then the baking technique — using translucent powder and letting it sit on your face for a few minutes (this allows the warmth of your face to set your base), and then dusting it off. I kept the eye-shadow minimal, using two shades of brown. I completed the look with a nude, light

pink lipstick
