The imposition of Hindi in South India is creating a huge debate, and many stars in the
Kannada film industry
have raised their voice against the imposition. Many Kannada actors like
Prakash Raj Dhananaya, Chetan, and others have raised their voices against imposing Hindi in
Karnataka.
Now, joining the bandwagon, Sandalwood superstar
Challenging Star Darshan
has also reacted to the issue and tweeted.
He wrote, ‘For many years, this Hindi imposition has been steadily increasing. Our Kannada language is already being affected by the use of other languages in the border regions of Karnataka. If we are simply don't protesting, the Kannada language might vanish soon.’
He continued, ‘Kannada is the national language for all Kannadigas. Its no point of celebrating Hindi Divas in Kannadigas tax money. It should only be limited to some states in North India. The unity in diversity is symbolic of our
Constitution of India
. It is a disgraceful thing to impose our culture, language, and ground on something that is a regional language of the North. We stand in favour of Kannada till our last breath. Kannadave Sathya (truth), Kannadave Nitya (Forever).'
Many actors, actresses, director, producers, and others have already raised their voices in Kannada film industry. Darshan support has given more strength for the movement.
