Actor
Sriimurali was bang in the middle of shoot for the Mahesh-directed film Madagaja when the country went into lockdown. As relaxations eased in and film shoots resumed, the actor returned to the set with a schedule in Mysuru that involved its ensemble cast, including leading lady
Ashika Ranganath and Tollywood star
Jagapathi Babu. The actor and the team are now taking a short break for the festive season, before resuming shooting from Monday.
“Madagaja is shaping up well.
This is a very energetic and driven team and it has been wonderful to work with every one of them. We wrapped up some pivotal portions of the film in Mysuru and are looking forward to completing another important schedule this month. I’ve been waiting to do a film like this,” he says.
Sriimurali is also thrilled that new films are releasing. “It is great that many filmmakers are ensuring the show doesn’t stop. Now, it is up to the audience to ensure cinema halls get buzzing once again to help the film industry,” he says.
What are his
Deepavali plans? “My wife Vidya’s family, especially her cousins, meet up annually during Deepavali. So, that will happen and then, my family, including my parents, meet up. I will spend the festival with both sides of the family,” says Sriimurali.
