Sriimurali set to return to the set of Madagaja on September 19

The team of the film will begin its second schedule in Mysuru
Roaring star Sriimurali, who was in the midst of shooting for his next, Madagaja, directed by Mahesh of Ayogya fame, when the pandemic struck and production had to be halted, is set to return to set. Before the lockdown, the team had an extensive schedule in Varanasi, during which time nearly 25% of the film was shot. While Sriimurali had earlier said that the team was preparing to resume shooting, director Mahesh has now confirmed this. According to the filmmaker,

from September 19. “We have a 25-day schedule in Mysuru, during which 18 days will be for talkie portions, and seven days for an extensive action sequence to be shot on a set. This will be coordinated by stunt master Ram Laxman,” says Mahesh, adding that the team will follow the strictest safety protocols during this schedule.

According to sources, once the Mysuru schedule is done, the team will return to Bengaluru, where a set is currently being erected for the film.

During the schedule in Mysuru, Sriimurali will be joined by heroine Ashika Ranganath, as well as supporting cast like Rangayana Raghu, Chikkanna, and Shivaraj KR Pete, among others. Madagaja has cinematography by Naveen Kumar (of Mufti fame) and music by Ravi Basrur, who is composing five songs for the film, to be written by lyricist-filmmaker Chetan Kumar and director Mahesh Kumar.
