It is not uncommon for songs sung by veteran singers to be replaced by the ones sung by newer talents. In the past, Udit Narayan’s song Preethse, the title song of Preethse Preethse Kannu Muchchi Nanna Preethse was replaced at the behest of the producer,
Rockline Venkatesh. The song in the voice of local talent
Hemanth was incorporated in the film. Rockline liked the voice of Hemanth so much so that he let go of
Udit Narayan.
Recently, singer
Sonu Nigam got replaced when he had creative differences with the music director
SR Prabhu. For the song Kannadada Shringariye Kangalalle Selevavale of Notorious, Prabhu wanted a mix of classical and contemporary style, but when Sonu heard the song he insisted on Prabhu keeping the classical style only. Sonu decided to walk out of the project and even returned the remuneration he received. Meanwhile, Prabhu went ahead and roped in new talent, Aravind M, a final year engineering student.
