Veteran director SK Bhagwan will be conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award. The award is given by the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy, Mumbai to film personalities for their contribution to Indian cinema. The duo were known for adapting poems of famous Kannada authors in their films. Their films include the Bond series, Bayalu Daari, Chandanad Gombe, Hosa Belaku, Samayada Gombe and Jeevana Chaitra.
