There have been many rumours regarding who would be in the

Kirik Party

remake in

Kannada

. Names like Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor made the rounds. Now, news reports indicate that Sidharth Malhotra has landed the role in this college caper. He will play the role originally essayed by Rakshit Shetty.
The film is supposed to take off shortly. The rest of the cast is yet to be finalized. Kirik Party is one of Sandalwood's biggest hits and there are a lot of expectations from the remake too. The Kannada film also has a Telugu remake
