Actor
Siddu Moolimani, who is busy juggling television and films, has signed a new project titled Gombe Rama, directed by debutante Anil Raj. The movie also features newbie Rachita in the female lead role. It is set in the Malnad region.
Siddu says that the movie is inspired by real incidents. “I play the role of a mature and brave guy who hails from a family of drumbeaters.
He is always ready to help people who are in trouble. No matter what he does, he tries his best. A caste-related conflict between two warring groups forms the pivotal point in the story. The movie has been narrated, making the best use of pristine locations. A bit of village slang in the dialogues adds a native flavour to the movie,” he says.
Siddu is also shooting for Agnyathavasi, directed by
Janardhan Chikkanna, which revolves around a murder. He plays a major role in it. “I portray the character of an exuberant youngster who is always curious about things happening around him,” he says. The actor is also overjoyed that his soap opera Paaru has crossed 1,000 episodes. “I am glad people have welcomed my small screen performance for so long. It is not easy to have a show cross 1,000 episodes. It is definitely a milestone,” he says.
The actor, who was last seen on the silver screen in Vikrant Rona, also has O, Omini, and Dharani Mandala Madhyadolage in the pipeline.
