Shubha Punja, Raghu Mukherji to team up

Sandalwood will see a new pairing in the form of Shubha Punja and Raghu Mukherji in Meenakshi, which will take off this month end. The film is a love story that is set against the backdrop of the land mafia.
Talking about the film, Shubha says, ���������The reason I took up Meenakshi is because it has a good plot and an unusual love story. My role, I could say, is like my dream role, as I get to portray two completely opposite shades.This is very rare for a heroine.��������� The film will be directed by Shridhar Hegde, while Vani Harikrishna will compose the music.
The actor also reveals that she is done playing the village belle in mass movies. ���������I���������ve had 11 films where I���������ve continuously worn the half-sari and romanced the hero as the girl-next-door. I���������m ready for a change in image, where I���������m going to go uber glam in each of my roles.���������
���������I���������ve got a slew of interesting films lined up. While I have Beera and Golmal ready for release, there is also Artha with Srikanth, Chirayu with Prashanth and two female-oriended films in the pipeline,��������� says Shubha.
