tried his best to keep his emotions under control on the day his beloved mother Parvathamma Rajkumar passed away. In spite of having to deal with his grief, he and his family ensured the necessary things to be done at the funeral was on track. Of his mother, he told Bangalore Times:

"The most amazing thing about my mother was that she was able to balance our household with so many people, as well as an entire

film

industry. She is probably the only woman

producer

in India who has produced as many as 90 films, because of which she has gained so much love and respect. She was strong-willed, and she only had kind, encouraging and motivating words for others. People at home, as well as in the industry, have looked up to her in times of need. She has been a symbol of strength and that was even more evident during the last 15 days of her struggle. No other person would have been able to fight as much as she did. In fact even last Monday, with the way she was responding, she showed signs of being able to pull through. We are humbled by the love and respect that everyone has showed by visiting her."
