After a break of a year, actor Shashi Kumar has returned to acting with

Sugar Factory

, in which he has a

cameo role

. The actor is currently shooting in Goa along with Darling Krishna, Sonal Monteiro, Adhvithi Shetty and Abhilash. The project is helmed by Deepak Aras.
Shashi Kumar says, “It feels surreal to be back in action. The lockdown was imposed during the last scheduled shoot of

Mehabooba

. After permission to resume shooting was given; I began shooting in Goa. As an actor, I was missing the buzz on the sets; I am glad that things are getting back to normal. As soon as Sugar Factory is wrapped up, I will resume shooting for Mehabooba.”
On his role in Sugar Factory, he says, “I play the role of an NRI who wants to do something for his motherland. It is that kind of a character which adds twist to the tale.”
