Kannada film Goa, a remake of Tamil hit Goa is almost completed. Currently, the dubbing of the film is on. The film stars Komal, Sharmiela Mandre and British model-turned-actress Rachel in lead roles. The film is based on a gang of friends who go to Goa to celebrate their holiday, get stuck in a perilous situation but emerge unscathed. Sharmiela is staging a comeback to
Sandalwood with
Goa after a noticeable break from the industry.
Now, it has to be seen whether the film will be a hit at the box-office.
The film has been produced by Shankar Gowda, whose previous film,
Varada Nayaka, a remake of the hit Telugu movie,
Lakshyam, met with average success at the BO. Soorya is the director of the film and Rajesh Khatta is the director of photography. The Kannada version of the film was earlier supposed to be titled as
Punythamaru, but later the makers decided to call the film
Goa, retaining the Tamil title.
