Speaking about the bold role she played on screen (the movie also marked her debut), she said, “I am glad that I grabbed the opportunity to play such an off-beat role.Had I not taken it up, I would not have this award today.” She also went on to serenade audiences with a surprise song performance, and the crowd enthusiastically cheered her on.
