As
Valentine's Day comes calling one more time, people across the world gear up to celebrate the day in their own special ways. It is, indeed, a special day for many but there's also a large chunk of people that believes in not restricting this celebration to one particular day. For celebs esspecially, the day adds more pressure than usual as the curiosities surrounding their personal lives grow more intense. One such celeb, actor
Shanvi Srivastava, spoke to us at ETimes in an exclusive fun-little chat wherein she helped demystify Valentine's Day and the sanctity it does, or does not, hold for her.

When asked about her this year's plans for the day, she replied, "I am off to Goa with my sister and will be spending Valentine's Day with her! The trip was planned with a larger set of people but even though most of them backed out, my sister and I decided on going ahead anyway. The two of will be able to chill, go out to attend a couple of music gigs, and simply have fun. I have a crazy, packed two month schedule after the trip anyway."

Sticking with the topic of Valentine's Day, Shanvi made it clear that she does appreciate the idea of a day specially dedicated in the name of love. "Honestly, it's not a special day for me but there's something positive, feel-good about it; whether you have a valentine or not. As they say that "love's in the air" and if something is making you feel nice and special, what's the harm in celebrating it," said a very candid and open-hearted Shanvi Srivastava.

But romance, on the other hand, exists in every life and each of us have our own versions of demonstrating it. Shanvi Srivastava, when questioned about her ways of being a romantic, revealed without qualms that she is a die-hard romantic. "I am a super romantic person! Everything you see in the movies, I mostly believe in all those ways of romance. I remember a special moment that took place almost 8 years ago, when I had just moved to Mumbai from Varanasi. I was given this cute teddy bear and a card and I have held on to those till today! I had to lie to my parents that they were from my friends but I think they caught-on pretty soon anyway. But yeah, I do cherish these little things. I had to give the teddy bear away very recently to my househelp's daughter but it felt like I am letting go of a part of me."
Well, it would seem that Shanvi Srivastava has her ideas of romance and Valentine's Day quite sorted. On the work front, Shanvi has recently finished shooting for Dinesh Baboo's horror-thriller '
Kasturi Mahal
'. Alongside, she is expected soon begin work on a new film titled '
Bang
' wherein she plays a
gangster
.
