Shankar Gowda turns director for Malashree
It is not always that a producer turns a director and this time around producer Shankar Gowda surprised us with his decision. Shankar, who has produced successful films like Kempe Gowda and Varadanayaka is now going to helm a new role with a new film, Boys. The film will have Malashree in the lead role. A photo shoot for the film will take place today after which an official announcement will be made.

It was being speculated for the past few days that Shankar will be directing the remake of a Malayalam film in Kannada. Reports also suggested that it was a Mohanlal film which will be changed to suit Malashree in the lead role. However, the producer has vehemently denied that he is doing a remake. He in fact said that the film is an original which he has been working on for the past two years. The film will be shot in Bangalore and Dubai and for some underwater fight shoot, the team will head to Thailand.
