The producer is remaking yet another Tamil film
Producer Shankar Gowda seems to be on a remaking spree. While his previous production Varadanayaka was a remake from a Telugu film, his latest offering, Goa is the remake of the Tamil film with the same name. It is interesting though to note that Shankar chose to remake this subject as the original version didn’t fare well at the box-office. The film which was earlier titled Punatmaru and stars Komal, Sriki and Tarun Chandra, is now called Goa after the producer decided the changed the name on the day of the launch of the film. The shoot of the film has just commenced and part of the film will also be Rachel Wise, who had earlier made an appearance in an item song in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Don 2. The actress will make her Kannada debut with the film and is one of the three female leads in Goa. The actress who is originally from England has done a few Hindi films and is also a trained dancer.
