Senna Hegde’s film gets a coastal tadka

The team is shooting in Mangaluru
Way back when he was in the business of advertising, Senna Hegde had willed to himself that if he were to ever make a film in the future — as was his dream — the coastal region of Dakshina Kannada would definitely feature in it. That long-standing wish has finally come true for the filmmaker, as he helms his debut Kannada flick, Katheyondu Shuruvaagide. Starring

Diganth

and Pooja Devariya, the slice-of-life film is currently being shot in the Karavali coast. “I’m just glad that my film planned out in such a way that it had to be set against a coastal town. And being a Karavali boy, I was more than delighted to incorporate my hometown into the proceedings,” says Senna. The film, he tells us, will be shot on the stretch from Kaup to Kundapur.
“Two songs will be shot on the pristine beaches here, including a party song that will be set against the iconic Kaup light house. Since there is a road trip involved that features our lead pair, the scenic coastline will provide an interesting backdrop. Having said that, these locations haven’t been included only for effect. The story blends into these places,” he sums up.
