NRI Kannadiga Ravi Kashyap’s latest project, Saramsha, is currently in cinema halls and the response to the film, he tells us, has been encouraging. Speaking about the film, Kashyap, who is known for films such as Lucia, Badmaash, Colors, Old Monk (Telugu) and Dia (Telugu), says, “Saramsha is a story of a writer who talks to the character created by him. It’s a very intelligent film - a pure family and emotional drama.”
The filmmaker, whose love for Kannada films led him to enter the field of distribution with Starwood Entertainment, collaborating with Jolly Hits and establishing Vibha Kashyap Productions, adds that he is backing Ramesh Aravind’s Daiji next. “The project will be shot in the US. My vision is to elevate the Kannada industry to a world standard, fostering talent and pushing boundaries with each project.”
