Sapthami Gowda forays into Bollywood with The Vaccine War

Kantara actor Sapthami Gowda is on cloud nine. She is making her debut in Bollywood with the movie The Vaccine War, directed by Vivek Agnihotri. Sapthami is set to join the shoot of the movie in Hyderabad schedule.

Speaking to a leading entertainment daily, director Vivek Agnihotri has said that impressed by Sapthami’s performance as Leela in Kantara he has decided to cast her in The Vaccine War and she is glad to be part of the film which has Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi and Nana Patekar in significant roles.

Sapthami, who is thrilled about being part of the project has remained tight lipped about her pivotal character in the movie. Sapthami who made her acting debut with Popcorn Monkey Tiger got a major break with the blockbuster hit Kantara which saw portraying the role of a forest home guard. Post the success of Kantara, Sapthami has been flooded with offers, but the actress has been choosy in selecting them.


She has also signed her third movie in Sandalwood which is titled as Kaali set in the backdrop of a Cauvery riots has Abishek Ambareesh in the lead role is directed by cinematographer-turned-director S Krishna. The team is also finalizing the rest of the star cast.
