Sandalwood takes a break; actors cast their vote
As Karnataka went for its first phase of elections, celebrities ensured that they didn’t step away from exercising their franchise. From the topmost film stars and directors, to regulars in the city’s society scene, everyone ensured they not just cast their vote, but also showed off their inked finger with élan.
The city’s stars, like Sudeep, Darshan, Upendra, Prakash Raj and Ramesh Aravind ensured that they waited patiently for their turn at their booths.

The girls from Sandalwood, right from Pranitha Subhash, Samyukta Hornad, Nidhi Subbaiah, Krishi Thapanda and Meghana Gaonkar, ensured that they got their voting game right with carefully planned looks.
Celebrities also went all out to ensure that they egged on their followers to step out, cast their vote and use their right to choose the government that they want. Funnyman and actor Rajeev Ravindranathan aptly posted a picture of his on his social media pages, saying, “Stop being on Facebook and go and vote.” Some of the film crews, like Bharaate, ensured that they gave their teams the day off to ensure that they don’t have an excuse to keep away from their responsibility.
When work and holidays kept them away
Actor couple Chiranjeevi Sarja and Meghana Raj are currently in Europe on a vacation that was planned long ago, which kept them away from voting. Puneeth Rajkumar, too, is on holiday with his family, we hear. For some, it was shooting schedules that kept them busy. Manvitha Kamath was shooting in Rajasthan, while Chandan Kumar had his serial shoot in Bengaluru that kept him from going to Mysuru.
