Sandalwood made me a brand, but Bhojpuri films made me a superstar: Harshika Poonacha

Actress Harshika Poonacha is beginning the new year with a bang. She’s signed up for her third Bhojpuri film, Sanam Mere Hum Raaz, directed by Bunty, and will be sharing screen space with Ritesh Pandey. She is currently shooting in London for pivotal portions of the movie.
Harshika says, “I am glad to kickstart the new year with this new project. I play the role of a British girl who is born and brought up in London.She studies in Scotland and goes to meet her parents in London where she meets male protagonist, Ritesh. She’s carefree and independent and is not bothered about what others think of her. At the same time, she ensures nothing wrong happens from her end.”
As the actress continues to make inroads into the Bhojpuri industry, Harshika adds, “The Kannada film industry made me a brand. In the Bhojpuri industry, I became a superstar by acting with great actors like Pawan Singh.”
Meanwhile, in Sandalwood, Harshika will be seen for the first time in a periodic drama, Kaalanagini.
