Sandalwood flicks face uncertainty over release dates

As cinema halls continue to remain shut due to lockdown to control the spread of COVID-19, awaited Sandalwood releases like Roberrt, Salaga,

Yuvarathnaa

and

Kotigobba

are facing issues over

release

date.

Roberrt, which has Darshan, Vinod Prabhakar, Asha Bhat,

Sonali Monteiro

and Aishwarya Prasad in lead roles, was expected to release on April 9. But as the lockdown has been extended till May 3, the makers are in dilemma to announce the release date. Salaga, which marks the directorial debut of Duniya Vijay, was supposed to release in March. The lockdown affected the release of the movie.

The song shoot of Kotigobba 3, with

Kichcha Sudeep

and Madonna Sebastian, is still pending. Producer Soorappa Babu had planned to release the movie in May, but it has now been postponed. The shooting of Puneeth Rajkumar starrer Yuvarathnaa, in which the actor plays the role of a college student, is almost complete. But there is uncertainty over the release date of the movie.
