Sandalwood Drug Scandal: Sanjjanaa's bail plea gets turned down, ordered to undergo health inspection

' continues to escalate. Actress Sanjjanaa Galrani, who was arrested along with her industry colleague Ragini Dwivedi for possession and distribution of narcotics, had sought bail a few days ago citing health concerns. Currently held-up at the central jail located in

Parappana Agrahara

, Sanjjanaa's health condition was to be monitored and a report of which had to be submitted to the high court by the jail officials.

Now, according to most recent developments, the

Karnataka high court

has declined the bail plea but instead advised the officials to carry out an inspection of the actress' health at the Vani Vilas Hospital in Bengaluru. The court has also ordered to keep the media away during the health inspection and further advised the people in charge to conclude the matter before December 10th, 2020.

In a sudden twist of events, actresses Sanjjanaa Galrani and Ragini Dwivedi were apprehended by the Bengaluru in early September of this year and have been housed in the central jail since then. While Sanjjanaa's bail has been declined again, Ragini Dwivedi has approached the Supreme Court in the hope of some kind of relief. However, the Supreme Court too has adjourned the hearing on the bail plea to a date in January and it would seem that the painful wait would last longer for Ragini. More updates to follow.
