Actress
Sanjjanaa Galrani has made her first appearance in front of the CCB police since her conditional bail plea's approval. Having been granted bail on the grounds of ill health on the 11th of December, 2021, Sanjjanaa has been mandated to appear in front of and report to the CCB police once every fifteen days.
Sanjjanaa Galrani was arrested on the 11th of September earlier this year for
possession and distribution of narcotics
and was in the judicial custody of the central prison in Parappana Agrahara. Earlier this month, Sanjjanaa was finally granted bail after a long crusade and is currently seeking medical intervention for her faltered health. The bail was granted after the actress furnished a personal bond of Rs. 3 lakh along with two sureties.
Recently,
as reported by the daily Deccan Herald, the CCB police questioned the actress regarding the drug case and sought clarifications from her on the findings from their earlier investigation. Having taken Sanjjanaa's statement, the police officials have now decided to summon her back as they found her responses to be unsatisfactory.
Alongside Ms. Galrani, actress
Ragini Dwivedi too was arrested on similar charges by the
Central Crime Branch
of Bengaluru. However, unlike Sanjjanaa Galrani, Ragini Dwivedi has been continuously denied bail and is now seeking refuge from the Supreme Court. The next hearing of her case will be held sometime in January 2021.
