With the second wave of the pandemic bringing about newer and bigger problems for the general public, the Kannada Film Industry has been an instrumental force in addressing their needs. Many actors, including the biggest of them, have been actively helping out the affected sections and even managed to throw light on their plight.

Upendra

The Challenging Star chose to voice his support for all the zoos and animal sanctuaries in Karnataka which have been struggling with lack of footfall for over a year. Urging the general public to adopt animals in these zoos, Darshan attracted many donations towards them which have helped immensely in rehabilitation. Actors like Upendra and Kavya Gowda have chipped in by adopting an African Elephant and a White Peafowl respectively.

Ragini Dwivedi

The 'Ganda Hendathi' has been reaching out to thousands of people through her Sanjjana Galrani foundation. The utterly dedicated team has been consistently distributing food to the needy and have, in fact, been at it for 26 days straight. Her team has also been instrumental in organizing vaccination camps across the city.
