Sandalwood celebs ask citizens to respect police officers

With the nation currently in an ongoing 21-day lockdown to beat the coronavirus outbreak, stepping out of one's home on a whim or fancy is not permitted and the

police

officials are taking action on those failing to abide by the same. However, this also indicates that the officials themselves, are unable to stay at home, with their families.
Many Sandalwood celebs took a stand and asked people to respect the work

cops

put in. Ashika Ranganath and Pawan Wadeyar shared a video of a police official's child crying as the officer heads out for duty. Pawan wrote "Hats off to #KarnatakaPolice your sacrifices are great. You are heroes." Ashika reshared and wrote, "We are so blessed to stay with our loved ones around. Please respect them and stop going out unnecessarily."
Actors like Pannaga Bharana and Deepika Das also spoke out about people who were misbehaving with police officials when asked to get off the street and go back home. Pannaga Bharana shared a picture which is reportedly of a man who hit a police official at Sanjaynagar and was eventually captured by the cops and jailed.
