Sandalwood actor Sathya Ummathal passes away

Actor and father-in-law of director Yogaraj Bhat Sathya Ummathal succumbed to a heart attack today afternoon in Bengaluru. He was 76.
It is reported that Sathya who made his debut with the movie Lifeu Ishtene acted in over 25 movies in his career like Jayamanna Maga, Kendasampige, Danayayoonu, Kaddipuddi, Act 1978, Preethi Geethi Ityadi and many more. The last rites will be performed will today in Benglauru.His mortal remains are kept for public viewing at Yogaraj Bhat’s residence.
Recalling his association with Sathya, writer and director Yogaraj Bhat on his Facebook page wrote, “ Such an easy going, cool-jolly dude.. Sathya Ummathal Uncle, Thank you for your love and support” Members of Sandalwood fraternity have expressed their grief over the death of Sathya. He has acted with lead actors like Shivarajkumar and Ganesh.
On Thursday, another actor Uday Huttinagada passed away at his residence in Rajajinagar. In the year 1987 he made his debut with the movie Arambha, bankrolled by his oiwn production house, he was paired opposite Sudahrani in the movie Devatha Mansuhya and then acted in movies like Jayabheri, Amrutha Bindu, Shivayogi Akkhamahdevi, Krama, Undu Hodha Kondu Hodha, Krama, Agni Parva and Shubha Milana. He has shared screen space with legendary actors like Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan, Ambareesh, Shankarnag, Ananth Nag and Tiger Prabhakar.
