Veteran actor
Sai Kumar needs no introduction for his works in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. 2022 is very special for Sai Kumar as he completed 50 years in the industry as an actor starting his career as a child actor in the year 1972. Sai Kumar began his career as a dubbing artist for some heroes in Telugu and is busy playing supporting roles in Telugu and Kannada. Very few actors are blessed to have a baritone voice and great dialogue delivery. Sai Kumar is in Bengaluru, meeting the media to promote his upcoming Kannada release 'Made In Bengaluru' scheduled to release on Friday, December 30th.
Talking to the media, Sai Kumar was quite emotional, reminiscing his 50-year-old journey as an actor in the film industry and thanked the audience of
Karnataka for making him what he is today and giving him a huge break as an actor through 1996 blockbuster 'Police Story' playing the angry Police officer Agni. Actor Sai Kumar said, "Today is an emotional evening to promote my film titled 'Made In Bengaluru', I am also 'Made In Bengaluru' so are my brothers
Ravi Shankar and Ayyappa. I was born into the world of cinema as my mother, who is from Bagepalli in Karnataka, has acted alongside many great actors, wanted to be a heroine but had to let go of those dreams because of family pressures. My father, because of whom I have got this voice, wanted to be a hero himself but he too had to sacrifice for the sake of the family settling as a supporting actor."
Though born into a family of cinema, Sai Kumar never neglected education. Sai Kumar says, "I wanted to be an IAS officer in real life but could live that dream through films. I began my Kannada journey in 1993 with 'Kumkuma Bhagya' and 'Police Story' in 1996 changed my life making me famous as Agni even today, which is because of you all. The people of Karnataka made me a hero, my parents' dream came true. That's why I say I am Made in Bengaluru," said Sai Kumar at the media event.
'Made In Bengaluru' scheduled to release on Friday, December 30, has Sai Kumar playing a Telugu person called Reddy.
