S Mahender to direct Mahakali?

Post the death of director D Rajendra Babu, the film Mahakali was put on hold. The late filmmaker was supposed to direct the film and it took the makers a while before they could find a new director. But now we hear that director S Mahendar will helm the hat of the director. Actress Malashree, known for her action films is now going to have a new director.
Mahendar, who usually makes films based on emotions will now be seen directing an action flick for the first time and it will be interesting to see what kind of a product he comes up with. Even the writer of the film, Ajay Kumar, is a first time when it comes to action. He has written story and screenplay for films which are high on emotions and sentiments and Mahakali will be a litmus test for him. The film which will be launched on January 24 at Kanteerva Studios, will be produced by Ramesh Kashyap under the banner of Simhaadri Productions.
