'Rustum': Reasons to watch the Shivarajkumar starrer

Stunt director Ravi Varma turns director for ‘Rustum’

Ravi Varma is one of the famous stunt directors in India who has previously worked with many stars across various industries. Now, stunt director Ravi Varma is ready to make his debut as a director for the movie ‘Rustum’ starring Shivarajkumar. As a stunt director, he worked with stars like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Shahid Kapoor, and many other actors.

Ensemble star cast

Director Ravi Varma is leaving no stone unturned to make the movie as grand as he can and the fact that he roped in many actors from across the industries for the same, is proof. The film stars Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi who plays a pivotal role in the film. The actor has been learning Kannada and is touted to be dubbing for his own voice in the film.

Apart from Vivek Oberoi, Harish Uttaman and J Mahendran from Kollywood, Shatru from Tollywood and Ganesh Yadav from Bollywood are also part of ‘Rustum’.

Donning the khakee uniform

Shivarajkumar is one of the most popular actors in Sandalwood, who has worked in more than 125 movies in his career spanning over three decades. Even at the age of 57, he is known to be as energetic as ever in Sandalwood. He is credited for giving at least three to four movies a year. Shivarajkumar, who has played the role of a cop in various of his previous films, will be seen donning the khakee uniform yet again in ‘Rustum’.

New technology

Director Ravi Varma, who is planning the movie in a rich way, has bought the new technology to the movie. Director has hired PhaseOne, 100 Megapixel camera for the shooting of the movie. For the first time in Sandalwood, this technology is being adopted in movie production. Ravi Varma has also created a huge set for the movie.

Female cast leads the way

The makers of ‘Rustum’ have cast actors from various industries. The film has comparatively more female actors than male. Sharadha Srinath, Rachitha Ram, Mayuri Kyataria and Sakshi Chaudhary are playing a major role in this movie. Sharadha Srinath and Rachitha Ram will be pairing up with Shivarajkumar in the movie, whereas Mayuri Kyataria will be playing the role of Shivarajkumar’s sister in the movie. Actress Sakshi Chaudhary, who is well known in Telugu and Tamil actor, is making her debut in Sandalwood with this film. She will reportedly be seen in a song number.
