‘Gantumoote’ has officially been selected for the New York Film Festival, a feat only two other Kannada movies have achieved thus far. The movie directed by Roopa Rao that is about the life of schoolgirls has been well-received by the audience.
Roopa Rao has come together with writer and cinematographer Sahadev to create a platform for many young talents.
Previously, Rao worked as co-director in the Kannada film 'Only Vishnuvardhana' and co-directed the movie 'Kurai Einrirum Ilai', along with many other short films.

Prakash Belawadi's daughter, Teju Belavadi has made her acting debut in this film that also stars Nishita Karodi, Mainly, Bhargav Raju, Surya Vasishta, Sharat Gowda and Sriranga.
