Talking about his character in the film, Rishab reveals, "The characters are based on the attributes of Hari and Shiva that are seen in the

Yakshagana

play Devi Mahatme. I play the one who has Hari's character attributes. He is very composed, always wants to look good and never loses his cool."

The process of shooting for the film ensured that Rishab got to learn more about himself. "While I was playing the character, I realised something about me. Usually, people are hot-heated like Shiva, or are very calm like Hari. I have attributes of both of them in myself, depending on the situation. Being a part of this film has been a memorable experience. I have certainly gained a lot by working with this team," he adds.

Quiz him about getting back to the Mangaluru underground setting after Ulidavaru Kandante and he says, "Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana is largely about the two protagonists. One gets to partake in the 15-year journey of the two characters. The setup might be akin to Ulidavaru Kandante in terms of it being based in Mangaluru, but this film explores the other side of the city and not the harbour. Also, I was a comparatively new actor when I did Ulidavaru Kandante, and now I have done some work as an actor, so the experiences and lessons from my other projects helped me here. I need to add that while the film is set against the backdrop of the underworld, it does not glorify it."

Rishab is all praise for Raj and tells us that working with him was a beautiful experience, since he has a lot of clarity as a filmmaker. "He is one of the best directors I have worked with so far. He handles his actors well and ensures the work is easy. We did rehearsals throughout the film, so it became easy to shoot at the actual location. We completed the film in 32 days," says Rishab, signing off.
