Rishab Shetty’s wife Pragathi Shetty kisses him affectionately while celebrating his 42nd birthday with the 'Kantara' crew

Actor-director Rishab Shetty turned 42 today (July 7), and the actor celebrated his special day with his wife, Pragathi Shetty, and the team behind his upcoming movie 'Kantara – Chapter 1'. Pictures from the celebration went viral on social media, in which Pragathi was seen kissing Rishab affectionately.

Rishab is seen surrounded by his film crew and loved ones while celebrating his birthday with a large cake. His wife, Pragathi, planted a gentle kiss on his forehead as the team gathered to cut the cake and cheer for their leading actor. Pragathi twinned with Rishab in a white floral dress.



The joyful moment doubled up as a wrap party for Kantara – Chapter 1. Rishab looked happy while cutting the cakes and posing with his crew members. He was seen wearing a black and white floral shirt and had tied his long hair back. He maintained his long-bearded look from Kantara.

About Kantara Chapter 1
The upcoming prequel is slated for release on October 2, 2025. Rishab had earlier won the National Award for Best Actor for his powerful performance in the first part. The second part of Kantara has been making headlines due to repeated on-set accidents and hurdles for a while, but the makers have promised to deliver an unexpected experience for the audience. They have not yet dropped an initial glimpse of Rishab from the much-awaited prequel.

On the work front, Rishab Shetty is all set to portray the iconic Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the historical epic The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Directed by Sandeep Singh, the film is scheduled for release on January 21, 2027. He will also play the lead role in Prasanth Varma’s 'Jai Hanuman'.
