Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara: Chapter 1' makers filming grand war sequences

The much-anticipated prequel to the 2022 blockbuster 'Kantara,' titled 'Kantara: Chapter 1,' is currently in production. Directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, the film creates a buzz with its ambitious scale and storytelling.

According to an IANS report, the filmmakers are shooting an extensive war sequence that promises to be a visual spectacle and a key film highlight. To achieve this, a massive crew and several international experts have been brought on board to ensure the scene’s authenticity and grandeur. The production budget is significantly larger compared to the first film, reflecting the scale of this historical epic.

Set during the golden era of the Kadamba dynasty, which ruled parts of Karnataka from 345 to 540 CE, 'Kantara: Chapter 1' will take viewers on an immersive journey into the region's rich history and culture.

Rishab Shetty has undergone rigorous training in Kalaripayattu, an ancient martial art from Kerala, to portray his character authentically. His dedication highlights the team’s commitment to maintaining cultural and historical accuracy.
