Rishab Shetty’s gritty makeover for his next film

Actor-director Rishab Shetty’s passion for acting is well known. And taking this passion a step ahead, he has portrayed a rather unique character in one of the seven films in the upcoming anthology and Puttanna Kanagal tribute

, sees the director having undergone a major makeover thus making him virtually unrecognizable with a shabby and gritty appearance.

K, the director of this particular piece of the anthology reveals, “Much brainstorming and look tests were conducted before we arrived at this final image for

Rishab

sir’s role which is the main highlight of my story.”
“Zeba, an acclaimed makeup artist from Mumbai, was enlisted to create this appearance and it took three hours to give him this makeover. He plays a beggar and the idea was to make Rishab sir look both shabby and terrifying at the same time. In fact, when we sent this image to Rakshit sir (Shetty) he didn’t even recognize who it was. That was the kind of feedback we were more than happy to receive,” adds Kiranraj.
Another intriguing point of the film is that it features just two characters — Rishab and Hariprriya and a dog called

Rumy

. “There are no dialogues and the story is about these two characters who meet in one location and the events that unfold after that,” adds Kiran. The film will be first in the series of seven stories that make the anthology Katha Sangama which is an ode to the late thespian Puttanna Kanagal.
