Ranchi is a thriller based on true events: Director Gatti

Releasing today in theatres across Karnataka is Ranchi, a suspense thriller, starring Prabhu Mundkur, Aarthi Nair and Divya Uruduga, as well as Bollywood actor Tota Roy Chowdhury. Produced by Rudra films and Girija Talkies, in association with Shashikanth Motion Pictures Private Limited, the film is inspired by true incidents.
Shashikanth says, “The protagonist is a struggling filmmaker from Bengaluru who helps the Ranchi police department tackle a gang of criminals.”
He further states, “The screenplay is a recreation of real-life events from 2009. We have used only one song to move the story forward called Naachike Inneke from an older Kannada film called Khiladi Jodi, which has been rearranged by Manikanth Khadri and sung by Sanjith Hegde and Supriya Raam.”
“We have kept the action sequences realistic without using unnecessary ropes or dupes and there is no vulgarity in the dialogues to keep the experience as viewer friendly as possible,” he concludes.
