Ramya kick-starts her election campaign from Mandya

Actor-turned-politician Ramya, who is contesting the Lok Sabha elections, kick-started her campaign from the Mandya district on Thursday. She is the Congress candidate from Mandya constituency.
“Kick started my campaign today! Day #1 with the blessings of the people of Mandya district,” tweeted the actor-politician.
Last year, Ramya made her electoral debut by contesting the Mandya by-polls as a Congress candidate.She won with a margin of nearly 50,000 votes over her nearest rival, JD(S) candidate CS Putturaju.
If reports are to be believed Ramya is planning to quit her acting career to concentrate on her new found job in politics.
