Rakesh Maiya, Suman Ranganath bag pivotal roles in courtroom drama

Actors Rakesh Maiya and Suman Ranganath have joined the cast of a Geetha Bharathi Bhat-starrer, a courtroom drama. Director Santhosh Kodenkeri tells us about the two vital characters.

Rakesh Maiya as an advocate

His character is an integral part in deciding the course of the plot, especially in the last 20 minutes, leading to the climax. Rakesh takes up Geetha Bharathi Bhat’s case and as her life depends on this, it is up to advocate Subaramanya aka Subbu to ensure she gets justice.

Suman Ranganath as a judge

She is a judge of a consumer court who is very serious about her work and Chandrakala wants justice to prevail. It is probably for the first time that she is essaying such a character. There is a flashback scene about her life which gives a twist to the tale.
The shoot of the female-oriented movie, set in a coastal village, is on the verge of completion.
